The person behind the list
I’m the founder of The Gilt List; a thirty-something mom of four who has been writing, editing, and inhaling books for over 15 years.
By day (and… honestly, most nights), I’ve worked as a copywriter and editor, writing everything from blog posts and web copy to long-form content. I’m also certified in developmental editing for fiction, which is an obnoxiously pompous way of saying I like pulling stories apart and putting them back together so they actually hit.
I’ve been writing stories since I was a teenager…and even won a couple of small, niche short story awards back then that never made me famous, but did make it very clear that words were going to be my thing.
What The Gilt List is (and isn’t)
The Gilt List is my corner of the internet for book recommendations, especially stuff like guilty pleasure reads or spicy romantasy, dark romance, and twisty thrillers. I follow the BookTok and Bookstagram trends and try to read as many of the recs as I can get my hands on.
The Gilt List is for readers who:
- love a good morally gray love interest,
- don’t mind a little suffering or cheap thrills,
- and still want the writing, plot, and payoff to actually be good.
