About The Gilt List
The person behind the list
I’m the founder of The Gilt List; a thirty-something mom of four who has been writing, editing, and inhaling books for over 15 years.
By day (and… honestly, most nights), I’ve worked as a copywriter and editor, writing everything from blog posts and web copy to long-form content. I’m also certified in developmental editing for fiction, which is an obnoxiously pompous way of saying I like pulling stories apart and putting them back together so they actually hit.
I’ve been writing stories since I was a teenager…and even won a couple of small, niche short story awards back then that never made me famous, but did make it very clear that words were going to be my thing.
Now I funnel all of that brain energy into:
- reading an unreasonable number of books,
- figuring out why some of them live in my head rent-free,
- and helping other readers decide what’s worth their time, money, and emotions.
I’m not here as a faceless “team.” It’s just me, my TBR, my opinions, and whatever caffeinated thing is within reach.
