Start Your First Chapter Critique

Send over your project details, choose the tier you’re interested in, and upload your pages if you’re ready. If you’d rather wait to send your manuscript until after the terms are confirmed, that’s completely fine.

This form starts the critique request process. It does not confirm a booking or begin editorial work yet. I’ll review your project details first, then follow up by email with the service terms, payment details, document instructions, and estimated turnaround time.

What happens after you send your project details

Sending your opening pages to an editor can feel weirdly intimate. Here’s the simple version of what happens next.

  1. Send your project details. Fill out the form with your genre, project summary, preferred tier, and pages if you’re ready to share them.
  2. I review the fit. I’ll check that the project, tier, and timeline are a good match before anything is confirmed.
  3. I send the next steps. If it’s a good fit, I’ll email the service terms, document instructions, turnaround time, and Stripe payment link.
  4. You confirm your booking. Your spot is confirmed once the terms are signed, payment is complete, and any required materials are received.
  5. I read your pages. Turnaround begins once everything is in, and I prepare the feedback included in your selected tier.
  6. You receive your critique. I’ll send your inline comments, scene-by-scene notes, editorial letter, and/or revision plan depending on your tier.

Tier 3 note: the Revision Plan tier also includes two 30-minute Zoom audio calls: one before I begin and one after delivery. Video is not expected; the calls are audio-first so you can talk through the work without feeling like you have to perform on camera.

Quick note: submitting this form does not confirm a booking, reserve a critique spot, or begin editorial work. It starts the project review process so I can make sure the service, timeline, and materials are the right fit before payment.
